It’s Rap Music…You’re Fired!

Look who stopped by this week! It is Big Fletch from Luped Up Records.

Big Fletch has joined us this week to talk about his new release “These Days” that is on iTunes on November 20th 2012, which we played in our last show.

In other BIG news we have gotten our first sponsor!

And to start this relation ship off right…GoDaddy.com is offering .com domain names for $4.95! All you have to do is to enter the code :

“connect8”

at check out! How cool is that? But, whatever you do, don’t ask Luppy or Joe what domains they are buying! Please dear God, don’t ask!

Big Fletch plays the song Chameleon by The Rhyme Commission, which features our own Joe Joe Keys!

We than go on to cover the band “The Last Ones.” They have the ability to capture their raw explosive energy of their live performances with their ambitious self-titled EP.  Frontman and lead guitarist Daniel de Luna compels with lamenting vocals and soaring solos while drummer Chris De La Rosa fearlessly forges the course as bass guitarist Victor Bernard provides the anchor.

Next we cover J.Reign, who is 20 year old rap artist James Rainey aka J.Reign. J. Reign comes from
Chicago, Illinois. At just 7 years old he began to recognize his musical talents and ambitions.
At age 18 he relocated with his mother to Atlanta Ga, where after having local underground success
J.Reign signed on with Big Mill productions out of Atlanta, which are in the making of helping Reign
be apart of the talented acts coming out of the Chicago music scene.

Last we talk about not only Living Luppy, but it seems Joe has lost some weight too!

Luppy talks a little bit about his standup comedy career at Herbie’s Vintage 72, where he also preforms…at a bong show?

Joe also updates on “Piggy” which you will be able to get from his site on December 4th 2012.

How are we doing?

Leave your comments and thoughts below on the show!

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates…It Will Make You FAT!

Wonder Twins Power Activate…Joe and Luppy take form of Podcast Host!

We have such dedication to our fans (that’s you!) that we record our latest podcast in the middle of hurricane Sandy! We hope you like it…

Have you wished Luppy a happy birthday? Well it’s to late now, so you will have to settle for an update for “Living Luppy,” why? Because that is what she said!

Joe talks about his new website www.joejoekeys.com, he says it was designed by me…but I am not sure. What are your thoughts on Joe’s new website? Post them down below.

We design a new New Wax Tee Shirt: Kickstarter = Constipation

But it’s ok; because Luppy took a dump this week.

We talk briefly about the surge we are seeing from China! Welcome to all our new listeners from there.

We than talk about the Drop Dead Pinups

The Drop Dead Pinups want to know when did rock n roll become so sanitary? This is a question that painfully lingers on the lips of modern rock music listeners. In a response to this safe nature of the music scene today, the boys in the Drop Dead Pin-Ups bring anaggressive kick to the face. Fusing the urgent vibrancy found in punk rock with the classic swagger of good old-fashioned rock n roll. They are all born and raised in Toronto, CA.

Than we talk about Mr. Frizo! Who Joe says is “One of his favorite submissions yet,” and no one in the room disagreed.

Mr. Frizo  is 27 year old and is one of the most unique urban artists/producers on
todays music scene. His sound is melodic, catchy, and uptempo similar to what you hear in
pop music while at the same time his songwriting and delivery skills are clearly a form of rap.
Being his own producer is the key to Frizo’s uniqueness, and makes it difficult for others to
recreate his sound, making Frizo truly one of a kind.

Some how we start talking about if we rent or own our homes, which oddly brings up the fact that Luppy has maids that come in and clean his place…Maids??

And not only does he have maids that come in, but also he supports Romney.

Which begs the question…who are you and what have you done with Luppy?

The last song of the night is a WORLD PREMIER of Big Fletch! You heard it here folks the new artist from Lupped Up Records…Big Fletch with “These Days”

Please keep the submissions coming! We are loving this and we hope you are too. In fact if you like the show please click on the Speakpipe logo and leave us a voicemail, maybe we will pay it on the podcast.

Lastly…we are running a contest!

The first 3 people to tweet us the correct answer to…

Where is the producer of “Girls Gone Wild,” is he dead? In Jail?

Will get a FREE download from the store at www.JoeJoeKeys.com

Ready set…GO!

It Is a Weed Theme, True Story! with Honcho Swerver & The Hazy Eyed Smiles

It’s another New Wax Podcast, where we do our best to bring you the best in Independent Music that was sent to us…most of which comes to our twitter account!

Tonight we get yet another tee-shirt idea from Luppy:

“Feeling Good! Feeling Fine! Nothing but New Wax on my mind!”

In the start of tonight’s show we get an update on Living Luppy, and he is almost at his first goal! Way to go Luppy!

Than Joe and Luppy give us an update on their record label, and there is some pretty big news. It seems that Lupped Up Records has a new artist with a new single coming out this month…so stay tuned for that! They also have put a their first “web director on staff, some guy named Carl….hey wait a minute…

Joe also brings us up to date on his Kickstarter project to cover Nine Inch nails “Piggy” and here is a little sample from Soundcloud (I mean if your not listening to the podcast!):

Joe shows his nipples of to the group, why is beyond me…and this leads me to a real question that I would like an answer to from this listeners. Would you be willing to pay a small subscription fee (say $5.00 a month) to see the raw video feed of us recording the show? Please let us know on Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments below!

FINALLY! We talk about the first band of the night Honcho Swerver and the shocking fact that he found “Weed, Money, and B***hes” all in the same place.

While we cover this song Joe joins me on the “language side,” maybe he is getting old too? I know Luppy THINKS he is getting old because he…bought a doormat?

Next up we talk about the Hazy Eyed Smiles. The Hazy Eyed Smiles were formed in February 2011, when Phil Thompson and Pete Lawrence met via a website called join my band. After going through many lead guitarists and bass players, the final line up finally came in November 2011, when Lee Rapson joined on lead guitar followed by Dan Stagg on bass.

All four had been playing in different bands for over ten years, so when they eventually crossed paths and got into a practice room they hit the ground running.

Now they have a radio interview and a series of gigs behind them, plus gigs booked up till the end of the year and a growing fanbase., everything is continuing in the right direction…

And as we close out Joe and Luppy make fun of me for listening to Clif Ravescraft! We ask Pandora and GoToMeeting to sponsor the show, and I give a shout out to Tony from The 76th Street podcast for our first iTunes rating, do you listen via iTunes? Leave us a rating!

Lastly don’t forget we are supporting the Podcast Awards and we are shooting for a Stitcher Awards.
